In 1796, William Wilberforce is badly ill and take a restorative vacation in Bath, Somerset, with his first cousin, H William Thornton. It is here that William is introduce to his future married woman, Barbara Spooner. Although he ab initio defy any romanticist overture, she convert him to associate the narrative of his calling.
